Preparation of mortar: Empty the package (25kg) into ca. 5.0-5.5 l of clean water and stir until a smooth mass without lumps is obtained. Mortar consistency should be selected according to the type of intended works, base and weather conditions. Attention should be paid so that water is not added in excess, as this may worsen the plaster strength parameters. When the mortar thickens, stir it again without adding water.
Plaster application: Apply the mortar evenly over the entire surface, and then smoothen it with a trowel or floating rule. Collect excess mortar. The time when float-finish should begin, should be established on an experimental basis. Do not allow excess drying of the surface; if necessary, sprinkle some water onto it. Depending on the type of the final texture, EPS, wooden or metal trowels can be used to float-finish. Plaster made in this way should be protected against excessive drying, as this may cause surface shrinking and cracks.

Recommendations and remarks

The temperature of the base and its surroundings during the application and drying should be between 5°C and +30 °C. Optimum temperature during application: +20°C. The processing times may be subject to considerable variations under the influence of adverse thermal and moisture conditions. The plaster-covered surfaces should be protected against frost and drying too fast, by covering them with meshes, films, water-sprinkling etc.
