Cement glue, for tiles P25

An adhesive for ceramic and porcelain tiles, reinforced, type C1 T E

A mixture of white Portland cement, a dispersion of powdered polymers and aggregate and mineral fillers, with appropriately selected modifying additives for improving working and strength parameters. The product is classified as thin-set water- and frost-resistant cement adhesive, mortar type C1 T E. It is used to glue ceramic and porcelain tiles on a stable mineral substrate. The adhesive is frost- and water-resistant, and can be used both indoors in dry or temporarily damp rooms and on the stable vertical surfaces of external building walls.

Preparing the substrate: The substrate must be level, sound, strong, and free from any material which could inhibit adhesion. Standard substrates, including traditional rendering and cement floors, require no special pre-treatment, although they need to have been cured for a minimum of 28 days (90 days for concrete substrates). Non-uniform substrates with areas varying in absorbability must be primed with a suitably diluted GREINPLAST primer, at least 4 hours before bonding the tiles. Priming is obligatory for cellular concrete. Preparing the adhesive mortar: Add the pack contents (25 kg) to approx. 7.0-7.5 litres of clean and cool water. Next, stir vigorously until a uniform lump-free mixture is obtained. Leave the mixed mortar to stand for 5 minutes (for the polymers and all the additives to dissolve). Next, stir again. Bonding the tiles: Spread the prepared adhesive mortar onto the substrate with a notched trowel of a suitable size. Next, apply the tiles to the spread adhesive by pressing them down. If the prepared adhesive is past its pot life and does not bind the tiles, remove it and reapply a fresh portion. Apply the adhesive dosage per tile so that it adheres to at least 65 % of the tile surface. Adhesively bonded flooring can be loaded with normal traffic after 48 hours from bonding.

Recommendations and remarks

The temperature of the base and its surroundings during works and glue drying should be between +5°C and +30°C. The optimal temperature during application is +20°C. Tools should be cleaned using water immediately after their usage. The maximum thickness of the adhesive should be 12 mm. The specified processing times may be subject to considerable variations under the influence of adverse thermal and moisture conditions.
Information contained on the package help ensure the optimal use of the product, however, it does not create any legal liability of the Manufacturer, due to the fact that the conditions of use remain out of its control.
