Preparation of plaster mortar: Put the package content (25 kg) into ca. 5,2-5,75 l of clean, cold water and stir intensively until a homogenous mass is obtained. The volume of water should be identical for each package. The working consistence should be matched with the weather conditions and base absorbability. The mortar achieves full working properties after 5 minutes; also, it should be re-stirred. A homogenous consistence is obtained by re-stirring the mortar, not by adding water. The workability of the mortar mixed with water does not exceed 60 minutes.
Plaster application: The mass needs to be well agitated directly before its application. The plaster is applied at a grain thickness, with a stainless steel trowel, at an angle. After some time, when the mass does not stick to the tools anymore, the surface should be given a correct texture, which is done with a plastic trowel, held in parallel. Works on a wall forming a single plane should be carried out in a continuous manner, using material from a single production batch without intervals; the batch number can be found on the package.
Painting: Mineral plasters absolutely have to be secured with GREINPLAST façade paints. Detailed information about painting is available on product data sheets for individual paints.

Recommendations and remarks

The ambient temperature during the plaster application and drying should be between +5°C and +30°C. The optimal application temperature is +20°C. During the plaster application, until it is completely dry (minimum 3 days from the work completion); it is strictly recommended that care should be taken to secure the plaster against adverse weather conditions. During this period, temperatures below 5°C are not allowed. The plaster drying time may vary greatly, especially during periods with adverse weather conditions. Failure to observe the aforementioned recommendations, bad base preparation or incorrect plaster application may lead to the appearance of permanent colour differences on plastering surfaces (efflorescences, dye penetration), and in extreme scenarios – reduction of its durability and even flaking. The manufacturer does not bear responsibility for dye penetrations on plasters not secured with façade paints. Surfaces exposed to soiling with plaster should be secured, and when soiling occurs, remove stains before they turn dry.
Information contained in the manual help ensure the optimal use of the product, however, it does not create any legal liability of the Manufacturer, due to the fact that the conditions of use remain outside of its control. We do not accept any responsibility if the material is combined with products from other Manufacturers or with such that are not listed in the reference documents (AT & ETA).
